Donna has been working as a freelance nanny in Meribel and Courchevel for over 14 years, building a wonderful reputation for her caring nature, professionalism and deep understanding of the children’s needs. After hearing glowing feedback about Meribel and Courchevel Nanny Services, she joined us for a few weeks at the end of the 2022/23 season and loved it so much that she became officially part of the team the following winter and has been with us ever since, filling her weeks around her long standing returning families, who are always thrilled to see her back.
Over the past 14 years, Donna has cared for children ranging from 3 months – 11 years, providing nurturing, engaging and fun filled care. As a mother of two now teenagers herself, she brings invaluable first-hand experience and a natural empathy for both parents and children. She understands exactly what it takes to create a happy, calm and safe environment for the little ones while ensuring the parents can fully relax and enjoy their time on the slopes.
In addition to her extensive nanny experience, Donna has also worked in the local primary schools as an English teacher, introducing children 3 – 11 years to the English Language through songs, games and play based learning. This teaching background has given her excellent communication skills and an impressive ability to engage and entertain children of all ages and personalities.
originally from the USA, Donna moved to the French Alps 20 years ago with her French Husband and quickly fell in love with the mountain lifestyle. She adores the outdoors and loves sharing that passion with the children she cares for. You’ll often find her and her little charges sledding, building snowmen or exploring the snowy surroundings.
When indoors Donna’s days are filled with creative play, sensory activities, storytelling and songs, always tailored carefully to each child’s age, interests and routine. Her Goal is simple: To ensure every child has a magical, memorable holiday experience in the alps.
