And Since 2024, she has been working as a Therapeutic Companion providing 1:1 SEN support for children aged 5+
Her role as a therapeutic companion is to provide individualised support for children and teenagers at school and at home, collaborating with families, teachers, and psychologists to create and implement personalised care plans for children with learning or behavioural challenges.
She has thoroughly enjoyed all her roles with children, Sofia is energetic, fun-loving and responsible, she has a natural connection with children and a strong desire to keep learning and is particularly enthusiastic about gaining more experience with younger children and working with families from all over the world further immersing herself in language and culture.
Her references had nothing but incredible things to say about her including:
“Sofi took care of my daughter Pía during the summer of 2024, and she always did so with great responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism. She was very attentive, patient, and loving, creating a strong bond of trust and affection with my daughter, who always felt very comfortable with her.
As a mother, I felt very reassured knowing that Pía was in good hands. Sofía was able to adapt to our routines and needs, always showing commitment and a positive attitude. I can give her the best possible references. It was a very positive experience, and I have no doubt it will be the same for any family who trusts her with their children.”
“My name is Marcela Roberti and I am a preschool teacher. I had the opportunity to work with Sofía Apólito in kindergarten, where she accompanied a child throughout the school year, and it was a very positive experience.
From the very first day, she showed great sensitivity, respect, and professionalism in her role. She integrated very well into the group and the teaching team, always with a collaborative and attentive attitude.
Her presence was key to the child’s well-being and daily development in the classroom. I value her deeply in her role for her warmth, sense of responsibility, and strong commitment to her work.”
“Sofía was the nanny of my son Christhian for a few weeks during the summer of 2022, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. She is a very dedicated and reliable person, with an excellent attitude toward children.
Christhian looked forward to seeing her every day with great excitement — they would play and have snacks together, which gave me great peace of mind. It’s clear that she truly enjoys what she does, and she expresses it with warmth and care.
I sincerely recommend her to any family looking for someone affectionate, committed, and loving in their work. Without a doubt, she will always be part of our son’s heart.”
“I had the privilege seeing Sofía work under my watch during her time as an intern in my ESL (English as a Second Language) classroom. From the start, she showed an impressive level of maturity, reliability, and professionalism that far exceeded expectations for someone her age and in a training role. She was instrumental in assisting both the teacher and the students, especially with younger learners, and quickly became an essential asset in the learning environment.
Sofía has excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, which made her an outstanding communicator with children, parents, and staff alike. Her ability to explain concepts with clarity, patience, and genuine warmth helped create a nurturing and effective learning environment. I have no doubt that these communication skills will serve her well in a caretaker role, especially in an international setting where language and clarity are so important for multicultural settings.”
