We are delighted to welcome Laura to our team as a part-time nanny for winter 2025/26!

Originally from New Zealand, Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and brings over 9 years of experience working with children from 3 months to young adults in a variety of settings. Her career has included roles as an Infant & Toddler Teacher, Nanny, Residential Youth Worker, Travel Nanny, and Early Childhood Educator.

Laura’s passion for childcare began early, during her Level 3 Childhood Certificate training, where she discovered just how naturally she connected with children. From those first placements she knew this was her calling, and went on to further her studies, completing her Bachelor’s degree.

After several years teaching infants and toddlers in New Zealand, Laura took on her first nanny role caring for a 3-month-old baby in Nelson. Her responsibilities included planning creative and stimulating play, supporting the child’s development, preparing meals, maintaining daily routines, and working closely with parents to ensure open communication and consistency at home.

In June 2023, Laura set off on an adventure to Canada, where she lived and worked until April 2025. During this time, she gained valuable experience as a Residential Youth Worker, supporting children and young people with additional needs. She then went on to work as a Travel Nanny, providing 24/7 care for a 15-month-old while accompanying the family across multiple destinations. Her role involved adjusting routines across time zones, planning developmental play, preparing meals, researching each new location to create enriching adventures, and maintaining healthy sleep and bedtime habits—all while offering a stable and nurturing environment.

Currently awaiting her permanent visa for Canada, Laura is thrilled to be spending a winter season in Méribel, and we are equally excited to have her join the team. With her warm personality, wealth of experience, and passion for creating safe, fun, and engaging environments, Laura is sure to be a fantastic addition to the Meribel Nanny Services team.

Her references had nothing but amazing things to say about her, including:

“Laura was our son’s nanny when he was 3 months – 24 months. He is now 3.5 ys, She is a very good nanny and a mature person. We trusted her to look after our son and take him for walks, spending most of the day with him as we worked full time. She loves children and has experience in early childhood education so she also had a good framework for educating and keeping them safe. I definitely reccommend her she is completely trustworthy and reliable and would hire her again in the future should the need arise”

“During the period spanning 2016 -2022 Laura was employed at Star Early Learning, where I was the head teacher, overseeing Laura and her day-to-day responsibilities.
Throughout this entire period, Laura proved herself to be loyal, trustworthy, kind, attentive, nurturing and supportive. She took her role as an Early Childhood teacher very seriously and
gave her full attention to the role. Laura was always committed to providing a high level of care for each child she spent time with.

Laura is a fantastic teacher, and one that I loved working alongside for many years watching her grow and develop into the teacher she is today. Her relationship building skills with
children, families and staff are second to none and are a huge strength of hers. We felt honored and privileged to have her as part of our team over all those years, she had
a huge impact on the culture within the centre”
