We are thrilled to welcome Betina to our team for the Winter 2025/26 season!
Betina is a highly qualified and passionate nanny with 7 years of hands-on experience working with children aged 12 months and up. Betina brings a rich blend of professional expertise, cultural knowledge, and a deep love for working with children.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy (Teaching), along with a certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education. In addition, Betina has completed advanced studies in Learning Neuroscience, including Neuropsychology, Neurolearning, Autism in Pedagogy, and Montessori Methodology—making her especially well-equipped to support each child’s unique needs.
Betina’s childcare journey began in 2018 when she worked as a full-time nanny in New York caring for 12-month-old triplets. She thrived in this dynamic role, embracing the fast-paced routine of feeding, changing, and fostering development. It was here that she truly fell in love with being a nanny. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and visa challenges, she had to leave the U.S. and return home.
During the pandemic, Betina continued her career in Rio de Janeiro (with travel to London and France when travel re opened), origionally a live-in tutor role supporting a 9-year-old girl with ADHD and dyslexia, she also took on a more nurturing nannying role alongside her academic guidance, this included emotional support, and full daily care—including meal prep, routines, and travel assistance.
In 2022, she accompanied this family to Courchevel for a month and fell in love with the mountains, the snow, and the vibrant atmosphere of the resort. From that moment, doing a ski season became one of her goals—and we’re so glad she’s making it happen!
Most recently, Betina has been working as a nanny/Tutor and family assistant for two children now aged 7 and 12, splitting her time between Los Angeles and Italy. Her role has included educational planning, daily routine management, international travel coordination, and ensuring the children’s emotional and physical wellbeing through structured, supportive care. With her U.S. visa expiring, she saw the perfect opportunity to pursue a new adventure—and obtained her working holiday visa to join us in France.
Betina is warm, enthusiastic, organised, and truly dedicated to children’s development. She speaks fluent English and Portuguese, and is also proficient in Spanish and Italian.
We are so excited to have her join us in Meribel — her mix of professional experience, educational expertise, and joyful energy make her a wonderful addition to our team.
Her references, had nothing but lovely things to say about her including:
“I met Betina in 2018 when she worked as a full time nanny at the house I used to manage in New York City. When Betina joined the household, the Triplets were 12 months old, though born at just 26 weeks. They were still catching up developmentally and needed someone not only experienced and patient, but also creative, nurturing, and full of positive energy. From the very beginning, Betina brought all of that and more.
Betina is warm, vibrant, and deeply nurturing. She has a natural joy about her that children are instantly drawn to, and an intuitive sense of how to support and comfort them. She’s incredibly proactive, curious, and full of energy, someone who’s always thinking one step ahead and looking for ways to enrich a child’s day. At the same time, she’s calm under pressure, dependable, and grounded, which made her a steady presence in a busy household. Her love for what she does is so genuine and shines through in everything, from the smallest routine moments to the big developmental milestones. She’s the kind of person who leaves a lasting mark on the families she works with.”
“Without a doubt. Betina is one of the most reliable and trustworthy people I’ve worked with. She consistently showed up with dedication, prepared for anything, and always followed through on her responsibilities with care and professionalism. We trusted her completely—not just with the children’s daily routines, but with their safety, emotional wellbeing, and developmental progress. She also respected the family’s privacy and values, and worked seamlessly within a high-demand home. Her presence gave everyone peace of mind, which is something you can’t put a price on.”
“Betina worked for us for 2 years, taking care of our 9 year old girl, and all related to her. It was part during covid, so she used to take online classes (it was a UK school). Betina is very competent. She is calm, but also proactive. She is creative, always finding different ways to entertain and educate. I can say that their relationship was like family, she still misses Betina and talks to her regularly. We all do!”
“Betina has worked for us for three years. Full time caring for two boys starting from the age of 9 and 5 today they are 12 and 8, Betina is Energetic, sporty, enthusiastic, confident, proactive, professional, collaborative, reliable, serious. From the get go she built a strong relationship and the kids are very fond of her. She has extensive experience in sole charge of children of various ages. She is proactive in figuring out suitable activities inside and outside the house. She works around the family schedule and adapts accordingly. We also felt confident enough to travel and leave the kids with her when we were away which is unusual for us. Anyone would be lucky to hire Betina”
