Emma Harmone is from Ireland and although it is her first season for Meribel Nanny Services it is her 2nd winter season in Meribel and her 3rd winter season all together, Emma holds a Level 7 (Irish equivalent to a bachelor’s degree) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, with additional studies in Youth Studies and has over 5 years of experience working with children and young adults from 4 months to young adults in various settings.
Emma is excited to return to Meribel for her second season after spending winter 2022/23 as a housekeeper in a 5-star hotel. She is eager to experience the resort as a nanny this time.
Emma’s experience with children includes babysitting, working as a counsellor in a secondary school, and working as a kids activity leader in Rhodes. For the past 18 months, she has worked for Scott Dunn as a nanny in the Algarve and as a childcare manager in Val’d’Isère.
As a childcare manager, Emma’s responsibilities included managing her team of nannies, logistics, planning, organizing, and implementing activities for kids clubs and small groups of children as well as caring for babies and children within her care.
She also liaised with parents, resort managers, ski schools, and chalet/hotel staff to ensure a seamless childcare service for families on holiday.
While Emma enjoyed expanding her CV and learning the management side of childcare, she is looking forward to returning to full-time childcare and being able to focus on being active and having fun.
Emma’s previous season experience and ski resort nanny experience along with her love for outdoors, easy going manner and fantastic work ethic, make her a perfect addition to our team, her references had nothing but fantastic things to say about her including..
“From the moment I met her, I had confidence in Emma. She was friendly, warm and professional and took a firm but loving approach to looking after my three children, whom by the end of our holiday didn’t want to leave her care and still talk about her now.
They all warmed to her quickly and what I liked about her was she wasn’t too overbearing. Florence has Down Syndrome and in other settings often people baby her or assume they know her because of outdated misconceptions but Emma treated her like any other four year old and saw her for her rather than her diagnosis which is always reassuring when you are leaving your children in the care of someone else.”

“I can confirm that Emma worked for us in 2023 from 10/5/23 – 15/08/23 as a Kids Club Activity Leader. Emma undertook her job beyond the expected standard and we would reemploy her in the future”

“I worked with Emma last winter for 6 months. She was the resort childcare manager, working with children from 4 months to 11 years old,Emma is a very personable person. She fits well into a team, and her bubbly personality resonates with everyone around her. She is outgoing and fantastic with the team, children and parents alike.
Emma was amazing at getting to the level of the child and fostering relationships straight away with the child. She followed their lead, and was incredible at developing the relationship in such a short period of time
I would hire Emma in a heartbeat for a sole charge nanny position. The feedback I got from our guests week after week about Emma was always exemplary”
