Áine Boys is joining us for her first winter season in Meribel, and we are excited to welcome her to our team. She is from Ireland and has over 3 years of experience working with children in various settings, including private homes, summer camps, and creche and nursery settings.
Áine has always loved working with children and began volunteering at a primary school at the age of 16. She assisted with children ages 4-6 years old including working with children with special educational needs, medical needs, and social anxiety. This experience, combined with her love of travel, led her to pursue a career in childcare.
After graduating from school, Áine embarked on her first summer season in Canada as a camp counsellor at Camp Muskoko. She had an amazing experience and has returned to the camp each summer since and is now an Outdoor Educator. In this role, she is not only responsible for caring for a group of children, but also acts as programme head. She does plans and executes team-building and outdoor activities and is available for the children at all times.
In between her summer seasons, Áine has travelled to Australia where she worked as a nursery assistant in a small nursery with children ages 6 months to 3 years old.
Winter 2023/24 she worked as a chalet nanny in Morzine, France, where she cared for children ages 6 months to 11 years old. Her responsibilities included providing full-day childcare, ski school drop-off and pick-up, planning activities, preparing basic lunches, feeding children, settling them for naps, changing nappies and toileting, and evening babysitting.
Áine fell in love with the mountains during her time in Morzine and thoroughly enjoyed gaining more experience working with babies and toddlers. She is very excited to be working as one of our Meribel Nannies this season and cannot wait to get started. Áine’s experience, energy, and personality make her an ideal candidate for a holiday nanny role. We know that she will have a fantastic season!
